Pamela & Pippa

About Pamela & Pippa

Breed: Smoothcoat Age: 1 year (approx) Sex: Female

Pamela (agouti/ginger and white) and Pippa (fawn and white) were signed over to RSPCA care from a home that could no longer cope with the volume of guinea pigs they had ended up with after mis-sexing led to over-breeding. The girls were terrified of their own shadow and it was truly distressing to see how scared they were, especially Pippa.

Over the last few weeks they’ve settled into their foster home thanks to a predictable, regular care routine. Pamela now sits out in her tunnel wheeking for her veggies and is often joined by Pippa. They are handled every other day at present and they are improving with this and even catching them is less of a trouble.

The girls adore each other and need to be rehomed together. They have been given a clean bill of health and have had two ultrasound scans 4 weeks apart and are not pregnant. The girls are approx one year old and just need a patient, caring owner to help them develop further in confidence and build trust in you. They will make a rewarding companion animal for a quiet home.

The minimum size housing for two pigs is 5ft x 2ft or 4 x 2 c and c cage. Please get in touch if you can offer the girls a quiet home indoors.
